Terms of Service

1. The Service. PermitVector aggregates building-permit and related records from publicly available government open-data sources and provides them to subscribers as data feeds, exports, dashboards, and an API.

2. Data source & accuracy. All data originates from third-party public records. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose. You are responsible for independently verifying any record before relying on it.

3. Your compliance obligations. You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws governing contact and marketing, including the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state Do-Not-Call rules. You will not use the Service to harass, defraud, or unlawfully contact anyone, and you will honor opt-outs.

4. Acceptable use. Subscriptions are for your business's internal use. You may not resell or redistribute the raw feed or build a competing data product without written consent. Reasonable API rate limits apply per plan.

5. Subscriptions & billing. Plans are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel anytime; cancellation stops the next renewal and is not retroactively refundable except where required by law.

6. Disclaimer of warranties. THE SERVICE AND DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

7. Limitation of liability. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
